A Rising Tide
The Festival of Bounty
The Festival of Bounty is known by many names to the people of The Monastery of Carok: Seeds Day, the Harvest Fair, The Day of Unrooting, and many others. The festival occurs each autumn as the leaves begin to turn and the townsfolk head out to the surrounding woods to gather the great gifts that Obad-Hai and the world itself have granted to those who live in harmony with it.
After all who wish to participate have gathered the bounties of the world to bring and share with others, the Festival itself begins. Among the revelries are a number of carnival games, performances, and social gatherings – but among the most anticipated events is known as ‘The Stalk Market’: a long-established tradition of the barter, trade, and sale of herbs, fruits, worked wood, and other such natural goods.
